The Build: Halogen, Coating, and the R7s Connection
Inside, you’ve got a quartz envelope with halogen fill gas. It keeps the filament steady when things run hot and stops that frustrating blackening over time. The reflector coating pushes infrared output forward, so more of the warmth goes where you want it—less wasted side radiation. And we chose the R7s connector because it handles the current safely and gives you a straightforward, tool-free wire-up. It’s an industrial-proven interface that holds up to vibration and the daily expansion and contraction from heat.
Real-World Use: Fast Heat, Real Responsibilities
In practice, this setup drops right in for high-output outdoor heating and process-ready jobs. It lights up quickly and keeps its output even when the wind kicks up. But here’s the catch: that heat density is real. Packing 2500W into a 300mm tube means the surrounding hardware gets seriously hot. So give yourself proper clearance, mount it securely, and make sure ventilation is there to keep the assembly and wiring within safe limits.
