They get the job done, but they blast this intense, blinding glare. If you&amp;rsquo;re in a bathroom—especially if you&amp;rsquo;re drying off a baby—that kind of light is just too much. It&amp;rsquo;s harsh. It&amp;rsquo;s stressful on the eyes.&#xA;So, we changed how they work.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Dealing with the glow&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;We don&amp;rsquo;t want you squinting while you&amp;rsquo;re trying to relax. To fix this, we use special quartz coatings and specific gas fills that act like a filter.&#xA;Basically, we block out those annoying blue and green wavelengths and push the energy further into the infrared range. The result? You get all that cozy, skin-warming heat, but the &amp;ldquo;glow&amp;rdquo; is way softer. It&amp;rsquo;s a much gentler experience for your eyes.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Keeping the water out&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Bathrooms and pergolas are tough environments. You&amp;rsquo;ve got steam, humidity, and the occasional splash of water.&#xA;To handle that, we wrap everything in IP-rated housings. We’re talking silicone gaskets and tempered glass to make sure moisture never touches the electrics.&#xA;And here&amp;rsquo;s a pro tip: if a drop of cold water hits a red-hot heating element, regular glass can just shatter. To stop that from happening, we use borosilicate glass. It handles the temperature swings without breaking a sweat.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The trade-offs&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Now, nothing is perfect.&#xA;Because these lamps are filtered for safety, they don&amp;rsquo;t &amp;ldquo;snap&amp;rdquo; on quite as instantly as those raw industrial tubes. They need a few more seconds to warm up. It&amp;rsquo;s a small price to pay for not blinding yourself.&#xA;One more thing—keep an eye on your wiring. These filtered lamps can change the current draw. If you use a circuit that&amp;rsquo;s too weak, you&amp;rsquo;re going to be tripping your breakers the second you turn the heat up.
