To make this modular system work, we needed a bit more room inside for the brackets. This means the heater housing is a tiny bit larger than a welded unit. But honestly? I’d rather have a slightly bigger box than throw away a 10kg chunk of aluminum just because a 200g piece of glass broke.
Keeping it running
We used standardized connectors, so there’s no guesswork. You just snap the tube in and you’re good to go. Look, quartz tubes are always going to wear out eventually. The gas leaks or the filament gets thin. That’s just physics. But by treating the tube as a part you replace—like a lightbulb—we’ve turned a disposable gadget into something that actually lasts. For a facility manager, it’s a breeze. Keep a few spares in the stockroom, swap them out when they go, and move on with your day. Simple.
